Build Your Custom Curtain in 3 Easy Steps

Follow these three simple steps to customize the size, layout, material, and mounting options of your industrial curtain for a perfect fit in your space.

Step 1

Select Your Layout and Measure Your Dimensions

Start by entering the exact width and height of the rough opening you want to enclose. Then our engineers make adjustments for the hanger and drape. Whether it’s a loading dock, a machine area, a cold storage zone, or a full room divider, your industrial curtain will perfectly fit and separate your area effectively.

Which curtain layout is right for my space?

Here are the most common layout configurations to choose from:

  • Straight (1 side) – A single straight wall of curtain; perfect for dividing one large open space.
  • 2 Sides (L-shape) – Forms a corner enclosure, usually connected to two walls.
  • 3 Sides (U-shape) – Used to wrap around a work zone, leaving one side open for access.
  • 4 Sides (Full Enclosure) – Completely enclosed curtains for maximum containment and isolation.
  • Multiple Straights – Several individual curtain runs in different locations or across a large facility.

Each layout has implications for mounting hardware, curtain connections, and workflow clearance, so it’s helpful to visualize how your curtain will function in the space.

How do I measure my space accurately?

To measure your space accurately, start by measuring the total width of the area you want to cover, then measure the height from the floor to where the curtain will be mounted (typically the ceiling or beam). If you're using a multi-sided layout, measure each segment individually. Be sure to account for any floor clearance, equipment, or obstructions, and if possible, sketch your layout to help us visualize it. For questions or help, feel free to contact our team — we're happy to assist with your measurements.

Step 2

Choose Your Curtain Material

Select the material that best suits your environment and performance needs. Our industrial curtains are made from commercial-grade, reinforced vinyl and clear PVC—engineered to handle the demands of warehouses, cold storage, manufacturing plants, and more.

What are PVC-Coated Vinyl Options?

  • PVC Coated 18oz
A versatile and durable option for both indoor and outdoor use. Great for general-purpose separation, dust control, and workflow management.
  • PVC Coated 18oz + Clear Vision Panel
Includes a transparent window at eye level for visibility while maintaining privacy and protection. Ideal for interior/exterior applications where supervision or light is needed.
  • PVC Coated 22oz
Extra-thick vinyl designed for heavy-duty exterior use, capable of withstanding harsh weather and high-traffic industrial environments.
  • PVC Coated 22oz + Clear Vision Panel
Combines the strength of 22oz vinyl with a clear sightline, ideal for rugged outdoor areas that still require visibility.

What are the Clear and Specialty PVC Options?

  • Clear PVC 20mil
Flexible, transparent vinyl that allows full visibility. Perfect for interior partitions, walkways, or clean zones.
  • Clear PVC 40mil
A thicker, more durable transparent vinyl for medium- to heavy-duty applications. Ideal for cold storage, washdown areas, and environments requiring both visibility and strength.
  • Tinted Welding PVC 20mil
Designed to protect against UV and welding arc flash. Commonly used in welding booths and fabrication areas.

What are the Insulated and Sound blocking curtain options?

  • R4 Insulated with PVC Coated 13oz Outer Layers
Lightweight insulated panels made for indoor temperature control, ideal for dividing cold storage or climate-sensitive areas.
  • R4 Insulated with PVC Coated 18oz Outer Layers
Built for outdoor use, offering better thermal protection and durability in more extreme environments.
  • Mass Loaded Vinyl with PVC Coated 18oz Outer Layers
Engineered for noise reduction, this sound barrier curtain is ideal for separating loud equipment or production zones.

Step 3

Select Mounting & Finishing Options

Choose how you want your curtain to be installed — whether it’s sliding, stationary, or hung with no hardware at all. Your selection determines how the curtain will function and what accessories are included with your order.

When should I choose sliding curtain hardware?

If you want your curtain to slide open and closed, select one of the following sliding hardware + bracket combinations based on your structural support:

  • Chain Mount – For suspending track from chains or cables (commonly used with open ceilings).
  • Beam Mount – Attaches directly to I-beams.
  • Wall Mount – Installs the sliding track parallel to a wall.
  • Ceiling Mount – Mounts directly into the ceiling surface.
  • Threaded Rod Mount – Uses rods to suspend track at specific heights.
  • Universal Mount – Versatile bracket that adapts to most mounting conditions.

Each option includes heavy-duty sliding track hardware that allows the curtain to move smoothly and reliably.

When should I use stationary hardware?

For curtains that stay in place, select one of the following:

  • Aluminum Angle – Mounts directly to a wall or frame to hold curtain in a fixed position.
  • Beam Clamps with Hooks – For attaching stationary curtains to overhead beams without drilling.

These are ideal for permanent enclosures, cleanroom barriers, or sealing off unused dock doors.

What if I opt for no hardware?

If you already have your own system or just need the curtain panel only, you can choose “No Hardware.”
In this case, your curtain will come with standard grommets on top only, allowing you to hang it as needed using your existing supports.

  • Stationary

  • Sliding

Aluminum Angle

A lightweight, rigid bracket used to mount the curtain directly to a wall or frame. It provides a fixed and secure edge for stationary curtains, making it ideal for permanent enclosures or areas where the curtain doesn’t need to move.

Beam Clamps with Hooks

Steel clamps that attach to overhead I-beams without drilling, using built-in hooks to suspend the curtain. This is a great option for temporary or semi-permanent installations where structural mounting is needed but permanent modification isn’t possible.

Chain Mount

Designed to hang the sliding track from chains or cables, this mount is ideal for spaces with high or uneven ceilings. It allows for flexible height adjustment and is commonly used in warehouses and open industrial environments.

Beam Mount

Attaches directly to the flange of an I-beam, creating a secure connection for the sliding track without additional drilling. Perfect for facilities with exposed steel beams.

Ceiling Mount

Secures the sliding track flush to the ceiling, offering a clean and streamlined look. Ideal for full-height curtains or tight spaces where every inch of vertical clearance matters.

Threaded Mount

Uses threaded rods to suspend the track from the ceiling at a precise height. Ideal for locations with high ceilings, obstructions, or when a fixed gap between ceiling and track is needed.

Universal Mount

A versatile mounting bracket that adapts to a variety of surfaces and installation conditions. Perfect for situations where you're unsure of the structure type or want flexibility during installation.
